BBM’s rah-rah boys! JAZA, Sabin Aboitiz to join Marcos’ Cabinet in wooing foreign investors in New York

Bilyonaryo CEOs Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala and Sabin Aboitiz have joined President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s economic managers in New York to entice American businessmen to invest in the Philippines.

The big bosses of Ayala Corp. and Aboitiz Group will present to foreign business leaders and bankers as representatives of the private sector during the Philippine Economic Briefing in New York on Thursday (September 22), the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) said in a statement.

Ayala and Aboitiz are expected to talk about the business climate in the Philippines and the investor-friendly policies that the government has been implementing.

Marcos will deliver a keynote speech before handing over the investor briefing, which will be led by Finance Secretary Benjamin Diokno and Trade Secretary Alfredo Pascual.

Ayala will then join Diokno, Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, and Bangko Sentral Governor Felipe Medalla in the first panel discussion to discuss economic development and outlook, as well as fiscal strategy.

Meanwhile, Aboitiz will take part in the second panel tackling trade and industry, tourism, transport, energy, and information and communications technology.
