The signature Masters course of the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club in Carmona, Cavite has been chosen as the venue for the Asia Pacific Golf Team Championships, popularly known as the Nomura Cup.

The prestigious biennial tournament will be held from November 15 to 18.

Designed by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, the 18-hole championship layout is the perfect location for the Nomura Cup, having been the site of numerous prestigious local and international tournaments such as the Philippine Open. And just recently, the Masters has been voted by Golf Digest as one of the top 10 best courses in the Philippines.

Club chairman Robert John L. Sobrepeña and the Southwoods team promised to organizer, National Golf Association of the Philippines, through Secretary General Bones Floro, that the Masters would be at par, if not even better, in international standards for the 22 (out of 24) competing Asia Pacific Region member-countries gunning for the coveted Nomura Cup title.

This is the fourth time the Philippines is hosting the Nomura Cup. The first one was held in 1963 in Wack Wack and then in 1971 and 1991.
