Eastern Communications partners with cable and internet service providers to expand presence in southern Luzon

Eastern Communications, a company jointly owned by PLDT and Globe Telecoms, has entered into a partnership with Mendez Cable TV Inc. and Clare Cable TV to further expand its reach in Southern Luzon.

“This helps recognize our goal of expanding our regional presence.Cavite and Batangas are identified as key areas for us at Eastern, and with these partnerships, we hope to see their residents and local businesses flourish,” Eastern
vice president and head of Sales Michael Castañeda said.

Eastern will provide Mendez Cable its internet direct service (IDS), reinforcing the local provider’s connectivity services to residential and commercial customers
within the 24 barangays of Mendez and 36 barangays of Indang in Cavite.

Eastern’s IDS is a country-centric and dedicated high-speed Internet service that offers lower latency and better quality of service to customers who require very particular connectivity requirements.

Clare Cable serves over 2,000 customers in the towns of Taal, San Luis, and Sta. Teresita in Batangas.

It offers cable TV programing, good quality signal, and excellent customer service to its subscribers.

Awarded by DICT for its Pipol Konek project, Clare Cable provides the internet highway to public Wi-Fi government sites in the three areas of Batangas.
