Mall for starting small: Marcos wants to copy Widodo’s idea for MSMEs

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. wants to take a page from Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s book to grow micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Marcos shared his visit to a mall for MSMEs during his state visit to Indonesia. Widodo acted as his tour guide.

Marcos said Widodo’s idea could be replicated in the Philippines, noting that the mall could complement the Department of Trade and Industry’s “One Town, One Product” initiative.

“Sabi ko, baka pwede natin gawin sa Pilipinas,” he added.
