Hobnobbing: Norman Wee, Simon Paz join Bongbong’s first state visit

Property developers Norman Wee and Simon Lee-Paz have tagged along on the first state visit of President Bongbong Marcos.

Based on a social media snap posted by Mark Castro, president of Philippine Business Club Indonesia, Wee and Paz joined Marcos when they met the Filipino community at the Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta on September 4.

Wee is president of the W Group which built its fortune from seaweed and carrageenan and expanded into real estate with five office buildings in Bonifacio Global City.

Wee and his brother, Francis Augustus, contributed P20 million each for the campaign kitty of Marcos.

Paz owns Rizal Park Hotel which former president Rodrigo Duterte inaugurated in 2017.

DOE raises RE utilization percentage for on-grid areas
