Ultra bilyonaryo Manny Villar’s real estate investment trust continues to await the release of the tax declarations covering its Vista Mall Tanza property.
In a stock exchange filing, VistaREIT said it was informed by the city assessor’s office of Trece Martirez City that it had only recently recommenced the processing of tax declarations.
This comes after the lifting of the moratorium on the issuance of tax declarations due to the general revision of assessments in the area.
Last July 12, the city assessor of Trece Martirez City issued a certification certifying that the issuance of the tax declarations for properties in Brgy. Punta, Tanza, Cavite, where the Vista Mall Tanza property is located, was suspended due to an ongoing general revision of assessment in the province of Cavite.
VistaREIT said it had been advised that the tax declaration for the Vista Mall Tanza property is still being processed and is not available to date.
“Nevertheless, the company will continue to coordinate with the relevant regulator to monitor the release of the tax declarations in its name,” the company said.
Tax declarations in the name of the company for the Starmall Talisay and VistaHub BGC (pertaining to its condominium certificates of title) properties, as well as condominium certificates of title for VistaHub BGC have been released by relevant regulators, VistaREIT announced last July.
