Vanessa Tanco-led iACADEMY ready to seize growing demand for software engineers

Software engineers have become one of the world’s most in-demand professions with the rapid evolution and growth of technology in the past years.

With the demand for software developers expected to accelerate, iACADEMY of bilyonaryo Eusebio Tanco hopes to provide the largest pool of specialists to corporations, government agencies, schools and several other institutions.

According to the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA), 149 million new jobs in computing are projected to be needed globally by 2025, of which 98M are software developers.

iACADEMY offers cutting-edge programs that focus on emerging technologies like software engineering, data Science, cloud computing, and game development in the iACADEMY School of Computing.

The School of Computing boasts of its recent tracer study which showed that 98 percent of its graduates have found jobs within 1 year after graduation.

“It’s very important for us that our students get the latest developments on their respective fields and the most advanced education we can provide them. It’s our duty as an institution to ensure they will be industry-ready and well-equipped with the core competencies needed for the challenges of the 21st century. This is our commitment since our establishment and we will continue with this goal in mind so that we can contribute quality professionals in the workforce and create a bigger pool of Game Changers in our society”, said Vanessa Tanco, president and CEO of iACADEMY.

PSIA president Jonathan Defensor de Luzuriaga has cited the need for more skilled IT specialists as the industry continues to grow at a fast pace.

“What sets iACADEMY apart from all the institutions that offer IT and tech courses is the intensive training and specialization we provide our students through curriculum enhancement brought about by our strong ties with industry partners. On top of what is required by Commission on Higher Education (CHED), we added 500 hours of specialized training embedded in the domain-specific subjects in all our computing programs”, said Mitch Andaya, Dean of the School of Computing.

iACADEMY stays updated with various tech skills and trends reports that identify the emerging subjects and new technologies being discussed globally to ensure that they are incorporated into the curriculum.
