4 projects endorsed for NGCP’s system impact study

Four renewable energy projects were endorsed to conduct a system impact study by the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines.

Transmission operator NGCP studies new power projects to determine their impact on the grid.

The four projects are Domhain Earth Corp.’s 1,500 megawatts Mariveles offshore wind farm in offshore Batangas, Cavite, and Bataan and partly located onshore areas in Bataan, Nuevo Solar Energy Corp.’s 83.316MW Currimao solar power project in Currimao, Ilocos Norte, PetroGreen Energy Corp.’s 25.66 MW Dagohoy solar project in Dagohoy, Bohol and Negros PH Solar Inc.’s 150 MW Bacolod solar power project in Negros Occidental.

These projects with a combined capacity of about 1,700 MW will add much-need power to the grid.

Yuchengcos build new solar power plant in Bohol

PetroGreen Energy Corp., the renewable energy arm of Yuchengco-led PetroEnergy Resources Corp. (PERC), launched its planned 27 megawatts of direct current (MWDC) Dagohoy solar power project (DSPP) in a 22-hectare site in Bohol.
