Former Metro Pacific Investments (MI) president and CEO Jose Ma. “Joey” K. Lim went bargain hunting following the sale of Manila Electric Co. (MER) shares by ultra bilyonaryo Lance Gokongwei.
The MER director bought a tota of 10,000 shares at a price range of P315.60 to P320 on August 9.
Lim increased his stake to 70,010 MER shares worth P23 million.
MER stocks plunged by as much aa 16 percent to P309 from P366 on July 28, a day before Gokongwei’s JG Summit (JGS) announced it was selling 36 million MER shares at P344 per share.
MPI bought 63 percent of the P12.384 billion shares sold by JGS.
