Balenciaga trashed for its $1,790 “trash bag”

Would you pay for high fashion that looks like a garbage bag?

This was the general consensus of netizens upon seeing one of the latest offerings of fashion brand Balenciaga during its Winter 2022 Runway Show.

The $1,790 bag, inspired by black garbage bags, was widely slammed by Twitter users.

There were some who said that no one in his right mind would spend that amount of money on something that looked like garbage.

The bag apparently comes in three colors – black, white, and light blue.

While some poked fun at the design, there were genuinely those who were outraged by the audacity of the brand to paw off the product to consumers and slap a hefty price tag to boot.

We’ll just have to see if any of the brand’s celebrity endorsers will sport the bag soon.
