New mobile network operator DITO Telecommunity of Davao-based businessman Dennis Uy continues to record a faster subscription uptake, with users now reaching 11 million as of end July.
DITO is now a million shy of hitting its target of 12 million subscribers by the end of the year.
“DITO hit this latest milestone less than a month after the company announced it exceeded the 10-million mark, reflecting the telco’s sustained growth trend since it commercially launched last March 2021,” said the company’s chief administrative officer Adel Tamano.
DITO reached one million subscribers towards the end of June last year or three months after its commercial launch.
It has earmarked ₱50 billion for 2022 to reach more Filipinos and to be commercially available in more than 840 areas nationwide.
DITO is now present in more than 600 cities and municipalities nationwide.
