Julian takes second board seat in father Martin Romualdez’s business empire

The Gen Z son of bilyonaryo Speaker Martin Romualdez has accepted another board seat in the family’s mining, media, and property empire.

Andrew Julian K. Romualdez was named as a director of the Romualdez-controlled Bright Kindle Resources & Investments (BKR) on August 2.

He replaced Abogado Jesse Hermogenes Andres who resigned on June 30 to enter into government service.

Just a month ago, Julian was elected director of Marcventures Holdings, the nickel mining firm of the Romualdezes.

Other listed firms owned by the Romualdez family are Benguet Corp. and Prime Media Holdings.

Armed client holds bank staff hostage to access savings

An armed customer threatening to set himself ablaze held bank workers hostage throughout the day Thursday in Lebanon’s capital, demanding to withdraw his trapped savings to pay hospital fees, security sources and a family member said.
