Willie Ocier picks Lucio Tan’s estranged son-in-law Joseph Chua as new Belle director

Belle Corp. (BEL) chaired by bilyonaryo Willy Ocier has found a replacement for the vacancy left by recently appointed Transportation Secretary Jimmy Bautista on its board.

BEL appointed on July 28 Joseph Tan Chua, the estranged son-in-law of ultra bilyonaryo Lucio Tab, as its new independent director.

Chua was tapped as chairman of BEL’s corporate governance and related party transactions committees>

The 66-year old Chua is currently the Chairman of the Board of JF Rubber Philippines. He was a director of Tan’s Macroasia and was its president and chief operating officer from December 2015 until his retirement in 2021.

He was also a director of PAL Holdings, Inc., LTG, Inc., Eton Properties Philippines, Inc., Philippine National Bank and PNB General Insurers. He is an AB Economics and BS Business Management graduate of De La Salle University and has an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Converge backs infrastructure sharing to lower costs

Bilyonaryo Dennis Anthony Uy’s Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is supporting a proposal that allows telcos or internet service providers to share the cost of installation of underground pipes for telecommunication cables whenever new road infrastructure is built.
