Bilyonaryo contractor and property developer Jose “Jerry” Acuzar could be joining the government for the first time soon.
A Babbler said President Bongbong Marcos is seriously considering to name the 67-year old Acuzar as the head of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
Acuzar is the owner of New San Jose Builders, Inc. which is one of the largest housing and condominium developers in the country. One of New San Jose’s first projects is the development of the National Housing Authority land and infrastructure in Caloocan City.
His major projects are the Victoria Towers in Quezon City, three-tower Fort Victoria in Bonifacio Global City, and the heritage town Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan.
Acuzar is the brother-in-law of former Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, the former law partner of First Lady Lisa Araneta-Marcos.
