Manny Villar was recently conferred the Doctor of Laws, Honoris Causa by the Universidad de Manila.
The country’s wealthiest man sent his deepest gratitude to with a special mention of former UdM head Malou Tiquia and current president Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria.
He congratulated the whole graduating batch of 2022 and gave this message: “Go out there and dream big for your family and for the country,”
Honoris causa is Latin ‘for the sake of the honour’ which means Manny didn’t need to complete the usual requirements for the degree. It is the highest honor that the University can give.
