The Batasan Complex and its immediate vicinity have been declared a no-fly zone for various periods over the next three days in line with the upcoming State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Bongbong Marcos.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said it would enforce limited and no-fly zones at the House of Representatives in Batasan Complex and its immediate vicinity from July 23 to 25
This is to ensure security and safety during the first SONA of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos on Monday, CAAP said.
CAAP advised that all unauthorized aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles within five nautical miles radius from the surface of Batasan Pambansa in Quezon City would be temporarily restricted from 2 PM to 5 PM.
Training flights of flying schools within Luzon are also suspended.
CAAP said delay in arrivals and departures at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) is also expected due to the restrictions of the event.
