No basis to leave: Maggie Wilson scores TRO vs Victor Consunji for ‘illegal’ house raid

Former beauty queen Maggie Wilson scored a legal victory against her estranged husband, Victor Consunji, over the alleged illegal attempt to drive her family out of their home in Taguig.

Executive Judge Antonio Olivete of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 267 issued a 72-hour temporary restraining order (TRO) upon Wilson’s request following the attempt of Consunji’s staff from the Victor Consunji Development Corp. (VCDC) to padlock her home inside a DMCI complex in the city.

The TRO prevents Consunji as well as VCDC officials Bernabe Mendoza and Rommel Reyes “from continuing with their illegal and unauthorized activities” that cause grave and substantial damage to Wilson.

“The court submits that petitioner Margaret N. Wilson is entitled to the issuance of 72-hour TRO,” the July 20 order read.

The court took note of Wilson’s account of events where VCDC officials tried to padlock her home and later on cut off power supply.

“Since it cannot be denied that a valid lease contract is existing and subsisting between the petitioner and the defendants, the Lease Contract should be respected by the parties wherein the lessor is obliged to maintain the lessee in the peaceful and adequate enjoyment of the leased premises for the entire duration of the contract,” the judge added.

Wilson’s TRO request was approved just a day after she filed such on Tuesday, July 19.
