Former Presidential Adviser on Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion and a number of high ranking corporate officials have signed on as President Ferdinand Marcos’ advisers on economic policies.
Marcos announced that he will be corresponding with corporate executives through the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) led by Sabin Aboitiz, the CEO of the Aboitiz Group.

The panel “will be supporting the government in meeting its economic objectives across five main sectoral groups,” Aboitiz said. He will also contribute to Marcos Jr’s strategy as head of the “Build, Build, Build” and tourism sectors.
Aileen Uygongco-Ongkauko, big boss of the La Filipina Uy Gongco Group that produces pasta, feeds, flour and sugar, will advise Marcos on agriculture matters. Concepcion, meanwhile, will return as Malacañang adviser for the “jabs to jobs” vaccination plan.
Henry Aguda, head of CitySavings and formerly of UnionBank and Globe, will contribute to Marcos on discussion on Digital Infrastructure, while Ayala Healthcare president and CEO Paolo Borromeo will be the point person for healthcare.
“The close partnership between the public and private sectors will continue to deepen with the establishment of PSAC under President Marcos,” Aboitiz added. “We are optimistic that by working hand-in-hand with the government to develop the five priority areas, we will see a revitalized economy that all Filipinos will benefit from.”
