Australia, NZ, Singapore recall Haagen Dazs ice cream due to traces of pesticide

Haagen Dazs met the same fate as Lucky Me! Noodles which were recently recalled in EU for allegedly containing an unhealthy amount of ethylene oxide, a pesticide used for the treatment of spices and sauces to control microbial growth.

Among the batches that were recalled by General Mills in Australia were Häagen-Dazs Vanilla 457ml and Classic collection mini cups 4 x 95mL. The products have a best before date of July 4, 2022 up to July 21, 2023.

Based on the advisory issued by Food Standards in Australia and New Zealand, the products from France contains ethylene oxide which may be harmful to human health if consumed.
