Glitches in the Union Bank of the Philippines’ system continue despite a two-day system maintenance, with several customers complaining they’re unable to withdraw their money.
Clients are also flooding the Aboitiz-owned lender’s social media accounts about deductions for failed card transactions.
“Hope to have refund from what we should have received on our withdrawal transactions today. I did not receive any cash dispense from the ATM,” one client said. “We really in need of cash today but this is what we got. This issue should be announce thru email and phone number of the account holders so that we are aware ahead of time.”
Another one complained that their elderly relatives could not access their much-needed pension money.
“We’ve checked it today, saturday. Still transaction is failed when it comes to withdrawal. We dont know our otp becaise the mobile number that my mother registered had already expired. So the complain will not pursue. Please fix it. It burdens the pensioners,” another added.
“I tried to pay for my groceries earlier using my debit card but the transaction failed even though I have enough funds there so I ended up paying in cash. But upon checking my transaction history via the app, it says the amount was deducted still!,” another complained.
