Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. has launched a fast, convenient and green way to charge electric vehicles (EVs).
Called Shell Recharge, the company’s first EV charging service located at Shell Mamplasan is the first of its kind on Philippine expressways. More charging stations will be rolled out in the next 12 months.
The Mamplasan charging station comes with two EV charging points with CCS2 connectors, allowing two vehicles to charge simultaneously and get a full charge in just 30 minutes.
Apart from this, Shell launched the first Nature-based Solutions (NBS) Carbon Offset Service for drivers aimed at reducing carbon emissions and meeting the ever-growing needs of customers. This service will be available within 15 sites by July with a target of 100 locations by the end of the year.
“Shell is rapidly becoming the Philippines’ leading mobility company, and this launch is a testament to the range of its offer to motorists,” said Istvan Kapitany, Global Executive Vice President for Shell Mobility.
“By being the first Shell market in Asia to offer this particular service to everyday customers, Pilipinas Shell underscores its commitment to continue powering progress to achieve a more sustainable future,” said Pilipinas Shell Country Head Lorelie Quiambao-Osial.
