Ultra bilyonaryo Manny Villar is packing his television outfit, AMBS-Channel 2 (AMBS2), by poaching the hottest celebrities from content provider ABS-CBN Broadcasting.

AMBS2 executive Willie Revillame, Villar’s partner in his media empire, has struck a deal with Viva Artist Agency’s Vic del Rosario to provide its top talents as headliners in the new TV network.

Viva announced the venture with AMBS on Instagram: “Look ang partnership na wow and win! Viva’s big bosses with AMBS Executives Willie Revillame and Ms. Maribeth Tolentino. Abangan ang mga exciting developments soon.”
Aside from Revillame and Tolentino, the photo includes Del Rosario, his son Vincent, and his daughter Veronique Del Rosario-Corpus.
Viva’s talent are among the biggest headliners of ABS-CBN’s shows – Vice Ganda, Sarah Geronimo, Anne Curtis, Cristine Reyes, Julia Barretto, Nadine Lustre, Kylie Verzosa, Yassi Pressman, Diego Loyzaga, and Coleen Garcia.
Viva also boasts of sexy celebrities from its Vivamax stable such as Angeli Khang, Cristine Bermas, Ayanna Misola, Ava Mendez, Sunshine Guimary, Micaella Raz, and AJ Raval.
The arms race in the local TV market has escalated since Villar, the country’s richest man, obtained the Channel 2 frequencies in January 2022.
