ABS-CBN big boss Carlo Katigbak appears to be stepping up efforts to bring ABS-CBN back on free TV, using his supposed ties to President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to secure a new franchise for the network.
Katigbak was reportedly spotted visiting Marcos’ office in Mandaluyong weeks after his May 9 victory. Both Marcos’ wife, Atty. Liza Araneta, and sister Sen. Imee Marcos denied knowing what the pair talked about, according to Abante columnist Joe Barrameda.

Imee, however, said her brother and Katigbak most likely about ABS-CBN’S franchise during their supposed meeting.
Marcos and Katigbak’s ties reportedly go way back to their younger years, even though Marcos’ father and namesake ordered the shutdown of the Lopez-owned network during Martial Law.
