The SM Group heir was seen clapping from the bleachers as Mhicaela Belen led the UAAP season as she was awarded as the first-ever Rookie of the year and Most Valuable Player.
Sy was seen pumping his fists in the air and clapping in gusto as Belen promised before the game to bring back the crown to Sampaloc, NU’s main campus in Manila. And they did.
After beating the De La Salle Lady Spikers in three straight sets on Tuesday, June 21 at the Mall of Asia Arena — another Sy-blings’ property — Hans went down to the court to join the awarding ceremony.
He was given the team’s championship shirt which he wore for the photo ops.
Sy us behind efforts to expand the Bulldogs’ athletic program, and this is where it all paid off. Congratulations!
