COVID milestone: Cebu Pacific airlifts 60M vaccine doses

Cebu Pacific continues to fly much-needed COVID-19 vaccines in various parts of the country, hitting another milestone with over 60 million doses transported to date.

The Gokongwei-led budget carrier said it had safely airlifted life-saving vaccines to 31 provinces since March 2021.

These include Bacolod, Basilan, Boracay, Bohol, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cauayan, Cebu, Coron, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Jolo, Kalibo, Legazpi, Masbate, Naga, Ozamiz, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa, Roxas, San Jose, Siargao, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Tawi-Tawi, Virac, and Zamboanga.

Cagayan de Oro received the highest number of vaccine shipments, followed by Tacloban, Cotabato, Zamboanga and Legazpi.

Cebu Pacific said all vaccines were stored in containers with the established temperature limit to ensure that doses are preserved until arrival at the designated stations.

“These vaccine deliveries are vital for supplying booster shots for everyJuan. We are happy to keep on doing our part in the timely delivery of these lifesaving vaccines,” Cebu Pacific said.

For its active flying crew, Cebu Pacific has attained 100 percent vaccination rate, while 95 percent of them have been boosted to ensure the continued safety of all employees and passengers.
