A top government executive hopes President-elect Bongbong Marcos can still remember his act of kindness when the bilyonaryo-politiko was treated like a pariah after losing narrowly in the 2016 vice presidential race.
Assistant Secretary Gerardo “Gerps” D. Erguiza Jr. posted on Facebook a photo of him seated beside Marcos with
“This pix was just sent to me. At first, I was hesitant to post it. Pero I am happy seeing PEFM (Marcos) smiling at that time,” said Erguiza.
Erguiza was part of the government delegation who accompanied President Rodrigo Duterte in his state visit to China in October 2016. The event was a memorandum of understanding signing with Duterte as the main guest.
“Nakita ko si PEFM standing without a chair on the sides. I reserved the seat beside me and went to BBM. Sabi ko, ‘Senator, may upuan ako para sa inyo. Ako po si DOE Asec Gerpy. Dumlao po middle ko, taga Paoay (Ilocos Norte). Kamag-anak daw ng Dumlao ang Marcos.’ Of course I don’t know if PEFM can still remember it,” said Erguiza.
If you’re curious who is the guy seated on Marcos’ left, that’s former Government Corporate Counsel Raoul C. Creencia, founder of CCV or The Firm.
