Bilyonaryo Dennis Anthony Uy remains optimistic about Converge Fiber Xers future despite losing the game in its PBA debut on Sunday (June 5).
The basketball team led by former King Archer Jeron Teng suffered a come-from-behind loss to Rain or Shine Elastopainters, 79-77. The new squad enjoyed an early lead until their rivals played catch up in the second half of the game.
It was a heartbreak, but something which Uy did not feel pressured about.
“The team put in great effort today, fighting up to the last second. I’ve always said that success does not come overnight. We’ll work harder, together, throughout the season,” the bilyonaryo from Pampanga said.
“This is just the first game. We’re getting a feel of the strengths and weaknesses of our opponents, as well as our own,” he added. “We’ll come back stronger. As I’ve said before, we’re in this to win!” Uy added.
