McDonald’s has announced that its medium fries, large fries and BFF fries will temporarily be unavailable through its delivery channels.
While the fastfood chain did not elaborate on the reason, it is believed that it is connected with the potato shortage being experienced in several parts of the world.
It can be recalled that as early as February, there were already reports hinting of such due to COVID-19, bad weather and labor disputes among potato growers.
Netizens also noticed that the shortage is affecting not only McDonalds but also other popular chains like KFC and Burger King.
