Keen on providing solid content across all digital platforms, media giant ABS-CBN is making its major foray into the world of podcasts.
ABS-CBN’s new venture will be bannered by 19 shows including “Dear MOR,” one of the most popular podcasts on Spotify Philippines.
With more and more Filipinos turning to podcasts for entertainment and information, ABS-CBN has produced a wide array of audio content in recent years, garnering over 7.5 million total all-time plays.
Jamie Lopez, ABS-CBN head of digital, said the company, which first dominated TV and radio before focusing on its digital transformation in recent years, will continue to grow its podcast business to cater to a wider audience.
“We will go wherever our audiences go. We recognize that podcasting is another way for us to reach and serve more people, and we are committed to maximize this new opportunity to use ABS-CBN’s content expertise to bring light and joy to the world,” he said.
