Offshore mining firm Apollo Global Capital (APL) has tapped a former Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) geologist as its new chief operating officer (COO).
The APL board appointed Nympha R. Pajarillaga as its new COO starting April 5.
Pajarillaga will replace former Cabinet Secretary Ricardo Saludo who resigned after eight months in the post.
She has 25 years of technical experience in minerals analysis and research, mineral exploration, environmental management, geological hazards assessments, geology, and mine project management. She has worked in government and private companies, in the Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia, and Lao PDR
Aside from the MGB, Pajarillaga also worked with Nickel Asia-Hinatuan Mining, Bundok Minerals Resources – Masapelid Island copper/gold project, Wolfland Resources Inc. – copper and gold Project.
In the last two years, the Mapua Institute of Technology alum worked as general manager of Eramen Minerals, a nickel mining firm in Zambales.
