Supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo have taken aim at the Yanson clan’s Ceres Bus Lines for allegedly trying to sabotage the campaign rally set for her in Negros Occidental Friday (March 11).
The so-called “Kakampinks” accused the Yansons of deliberately cancelling the buses booked by Robredo’s supporters so they couldn’t go to the rally in Bacolod.
Facebook user Mei Diana blew the whistle on the company, saying Ceres cancelled trips from across different towns heading to Bacolod, supposedly to take advantage of their monopoly of the area –– something which was clarified as false.
Diana also claimed that deals to rent buses to be paid by supporters were supposedly called off.

Some netizens believed the cancellation of bus trips was deliberate because the Yansons were seen in campaign events of Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Robredo’s mortal rival.
took me a few clicks to figure out why.
the Yanson family who owns Ceres bus lines (one of the biggest bus lines in the PH; they cancelled their Bacolod trips tomorrow) fully supports the UniThieves.

“Ceres is BBM. They wouldn’t be caught dead transporting a flock of happy #Kakampinks. The last minute cancellation, in the dead of the night, shows how dirty they work. There’s karma. What U put out in the world will find its way to U,” another wrote.
However, media consultant Dindo Danao has denied that Ceres is reneging i any of its transport contracts for the day.

Robredo’s supporters, meanwhile, are exerting all efforts to find transportation for people who want to go to the campaign rally.
God provides! People from outside Negros are pitching in to help us hire jeeps so Negrenses who doesn’t have the means to travel can still come to the rally after Ceres and Cebro buses left us hanging on the last minute. Salamat po ?#NegrosIsPink #MASSKARApatDapatLeniKiko

The Ceres buses run in the Visayas, Bachelor in South Mindanao, Rural Transit in the North, Mindanao Star in the Cotabato areas. All belong to Vallacar Transit, owned by the Yansons based in Bacolod, alleged Marcos cronies. It has a habit of buying out competitors in Mindanao. pic.twitter.com/nlo1GGCrCD
