Ang is blaming his rivals for allegations that he was behind the disappearance of over 30 sabungeros who were abducted from cockpits operated by his Lucky 8-Pitmasters E-Sabong franchise.
In the Senate committee hearing probing the missing sabungeros, Ang identified the E-Sabong rivals ganging up on him as jueteng king Bong Pineda, Deputy Speaker Arnie Teves of Negros Oriental, former Agbiag party-list congressman Patrick Antonio, Mayor Elan Nagaño of San Leonardo Nueva Ecija, and former Philippine National Police chief Camilo Cascolan (Philippine Military Academy Class of 1986). Ang could not recall the real owner of the seventh franchisee.

“Nagiimbestiga pa lang, guilty na agad? Parang ang Lucky 8, parang inano nyo na na guilty e. Trial by publicity. Papatunayan ko sainyo na may conspiracy dito. Wala kaming kinalaman diyan, patutunayan ko sainyo ang conspiracy,” said Ang.

Their motive? Ang claims he controls 90 to 95 percent of all income generated from E-Sabong operations in the country with his rivals making do with scraps.
“Kasi 90 percent sa income ng sabong sa operation, 90 to 95 kami yun, dahil members ko lahat ng big-time sabungero kasi legit talaga na maayos lahat ‘to,” said Ang.

Ang revealed that he receives up to P60 billion in monthly bets through GCash and Paymaya from E-Sabong and that his Pitmaster earns
P3 billion a month. His rivals take in roughly P500 million each in bets between themselves.
In contrast, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. receives between P400 million and P600 million a month in revenues from E-Sabong.
Ang elaborated on the alleged conspiracy hatched by his rivals against him in a closed-door session with senators. “Magkakagulo-gulo dito,” said Ang.
