The Department of Finance has warned the public against counterfeit certifications and other falsified documents purportedly issued by DOF officials.
According to the DOF, such documents bear unverified information masked in forged signatures of the agency’s officials and counterfeit seal of the department.
“In this regard, the DOF strongly reminds the public to be more cautious in their dealings which may involve these fraudulent documents,” the agency said.
The DOF urged the public to immediately report cases of suspicious documents.
“In case of doubts concerning the authenticity of any document appearing to be issued by the DOF we encourage the public to seek clarification and or verification through our trunkline at (02)524-0244 or email us at OSEC@DOF.GOV.PH,” it said.
The DOF assured that those behind these illegal acts would be dealt with accordingly.
