Ayala Museum features long tradition of pastillas wrapper making in online exhibit

Pastillas is a well known Filipino delicacy with different versions from different regions.

However, it is not just the art of crafting recipes for this delicious treat that is closely intertwined with a rich history.

The art of making pastillas wrappers has deep roots in the province of Bulacan as it prides itself on the tradition of pabalat — creating handcrafted, and intricate pastillas wrappers.

The Ayala Museum is currently featuring this through an exhibit called Intertwined: Transpacific, Transcultural Philippines if you want to know more about this interesting aspect of Philippine culture.

Paris celebrates night-time art festival

The celebration has brought modern art to the streets and museums of Paris since 2002 and this year the river Seine, the site chosen for the 2024 Olympic Games opening ceremony, is taking centre stage.
