Ayala Museum features long tradition of pastillas wrapper making in online exhibit

Pastillas is a well known Filipino delicacy with different versions from different regions.

However, it is not just the art of crafting recipes for this delicious treat that is closely intertwined with a rich history.

The art of making pastillas wrappers has deep roots in the province of Bulacan as it prides itself on the tradition of pabalat — creating handcrafted, and intricate pastillas wrappers.

The Ayala Museum is currently featuring this through an exhibit called Intertwined: Transpacific, Transcultural Philippines if you want to know more about this interesting aspect of Philippine culture.
