Ahead of the Christmas travel season, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) further expanded the list of foreign travelers who could enter the Philippines by including those from so called “green” countries.
Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said Friday (November 26) foreign travelers coming from countries where a Philippine visa is not required can enter the country starting December 1.
However, the traveler should meet the following conditions, namely: that the foreign national should be coming from a green list country or territory for the past 14 days prior to flying into the Philippines. Second, their passports should be valid for at least six months upon arrival, and they should also have another outbound ticket.
The new rule is under trial from December 1 to 15. The government has earlier eased quarantine rules for inbound travelers, provided that they are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
