InPlay.ph, a gaming platform of the Garcia-led DFNN, saw its gross gaming revenue (GGR) consistently increase since its launch in November last year.
in the first three quarters of the year, InPlay’s GGR amounted to P269.3 million while gross bets reached P6 billion as the coronavirus pandemic led to a boom in online gaming.
In the third quarter alone, gross bets surged by 64.5 percent to ₱1.43 billion compared to the ₱869 million recorded in the second quarter. GGR reached P64.3 million, up 60.8 percent from the previous quarter’s P40 million.
DFNN expects InPlay.ph’s performance to surpass that of the traditional gaming outlets which suffered due to the lockdowns imposed to curb the spread of the virus.
“However, as lockdown measures ease and more gaming outlets re-open, it is projected that revenue from these outlets will start to improve and thus consolidated revenue figures at year-end is seen to be on the positive for the first time,” DFNN said.
In addition to InPlay.ph, DFNN holds licenses for electronic gaming machines, a sports betting exchange and pari-mutuel games from the Philippine Amusement and Gaing Corp.
