Deutsche Regis Partners founder Antonio Periquet has invited his A-list bilyonaryo friends to form the core of his powerhouse board in newly-acquired AB Capital Group.
Periquet’s The Campden Hill group announced its takeover of the AB Capital Group from the Vicsal group of the Gaisano family with the unveiling of the revamped boards of its investment and securities arms on October 18.
With Periquet as chairman, AB Capital Investment’s new board members are International Container Terminal Services Inc. chairman and president Ricky Razon, JG Summit president and CEO Lance Gokongwei, Century Group president and CEO Chris Po and former AIG portfolio manager Michael Zalamea.
Only former AB Capital chairman and Lamberto M. Santos Jr. remained from the old board.
In AB Capital Securities, Periquet appointed his partner Zalamea as chairman with Luis Miguel Aboitiz, Juan Kevin G. Belmonte, Mariana M. Ongpin and Elena L. Morris as new board members. Santos and Ericson Wee were retained.
AB Capital, which was formed in 1980 by A. Soriano Corp. and Bankers Trust NY, said Vicsal remained a minority shareholder.
Vicsal took control of AB Capital from the Phinma group in 2011.
