Bilyonaryo Lucio Tan is leaving the keys of his vast business empire in the hands of his millennial apos instead of his children.
The Macroasia board chaired by Tan announced the appointment of Eduardo Luis “Edrick” T. Luy as its new president and COO and Kyle Ellis C. Tan as its new treasurer starting October 8.
Luy will replace the disgraced son-in-law of Tan, Joseph Chua, who has been president of Macroasia since August 1997.

Luy, who raps and sells cool merchandise on the side, is the son of Tan’s daughter Irene and the late Enrique T. Luy, son of copra king Luy Kim Guan, who died three years ago.
Kyle is the son of the late Bong Tan who was supposed to be the heir apparent of the Tan kingdom before he died of cardiac arrest at a basketball court in November 2019.

He is an executive vice president of Tanduay Distillers which is led by his brother, Lucio “Hun Hun” Tan III.

Luy has also been named a member of Macroasia’s risk management and investment committees. Kyle was named to the mining committee.
