Bilyonaryo Ramon S. Ang is shaking up the executive office of Petron Corp. as it continues its bounceback from the financial losses incurred from the pandemic.
The Petron board led by Ang announced a major change in its sales division with the transfer of one of its long-time executives, vice president Archie B. Gupalor, to another unit of San Miguel Corp.
The University of San Carlos graduate has been Petron national sales chief since 2012. He started out as a sales executive of the San Miguel Beer division in 1990 and worked his way to general manager of San Miguel Foods in 2009.
Petron also announced the promotion of Magnolia Cecilia D. Uy to VP for retail sales and Virgilio V. Centeno to VP for industrial sales starting October 1.
Petron posted P3.87 billion profits in the first half of 2021, a sharp turnaround from its P14.24 billion loss during the same period last year.
