Manila Water to spend P8B for Pangasinan project

A wholly owned unit of Manila Water Co. Inc. is set to ink a 25-year concession agreement to build, operate and manage water facilities and provide services in the city of Tanauan, Batangas.

The joint venture agreement is intended to improve the provision of water supply and sanitation services in Tanauan.

The estimated capital expenditure for the project is P8 billion over the 25-year period.

The deal involves the design, construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, operation, financing, expansion, and management of the water supply and sanitation facilities and services of the water district.

Manila Water said the partnership is estimated to deliver a billed volume of 200 million liters per day by year 25.

MPV operates bulk water supply projects in Cebu, Tagum, Davao del Norte as all as provides water and wastewater services in Laguna, Batangas, Pampanga, Bulacan, Samar and Iloilo.
