Tessie Sy loses top BDO exec after Antonio Peña quits as consumer banking chief

Bilyonaryo Tessie Sy-Coson needs to fill a big hole in BDO Unibank’s executive roll with the resignation of its consumer banking chief.

The BDO board chaired by Sy-Coson accepted the resignation of senior vice president and head of consumer banking group (lending and auto loans) Antonio Ongkiko Peña effective 16 October 2021 after serving for 12 years.

Peña said he would “pursue other endeavors.”

Before joing BDO in 2009, Peña worked for the Development Bank of Singapore, Bank of Southeast Asia, Insular Savings Bank, International CorporateBank (Interbank) and Bank of America Finance Corp. (BAFC).
