Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez has advised senators to file cases in relation to the government’s award of contracts to Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. instead of prolonging the marathon hearings on the issue.
Dominguez recently slammed the Senate blue ribbon committee’s investigation on Pharmally, saying senators have not discovered damning information against the government.
“I’ve been following the investigations, and so far, there does not seem to be an accusation of any violation of the law, or there’s no accusation of overpricing, and there’s no accusation of underdelivery or accusation of misdelivery or the product is not the right product,” Dominguez said in a recent publicly-aired address of President Rodrigo Duterte.
He had a message to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee: “I would suggest that those who are questioning this transaction come out with a charge sheet to clear the air already.”
“It’s very important for the Filipino people to know if there was something anomalous that was done… Five or six days of investigation, there is no accusation as far as I have listened to,” Dominguez added. “Let’s get over it so para maklaro sa lahat kung may masama talagang nangyari o wala.”
The Bureau of Immigration has issued an immigration lookout order against Pharmally director Linconn Ong and other company executives on the request of the Senate.
Senators will continue its investigation on Friday, Sept. 18.
