Ayalas investing $445M into wind farm projects in Vietnam

AC Energy Corp. (ACEN) is investing $445 million to develop wind farm projects in Vietnam totalling 440 megawatts of renewable energy.

ACEN president and CEO Eric T. Francia said “Vietnam is an ideal place for sustainable investments as it leads the race to clean energy transition in the post-Covid world.”

Francia said the deep market expertise of ACEN’s partners strengthens the company’s leadership position in Vietnam as it aims to play a meaningful role in the green-led recovery by building climate resilience and creating jobs.

ACEN said its 252MW Quang Binh wind farm project, in partnership with AMI Renewables, will be the largest onshore installation for RE technology in Vietnam.

It will feature wind turbines at a hub-height of 145 meters to optimize wind energy production.

Another project is the 40MW Mui Ne wind farm with The Blue Circle of Singapore.

Its goal is to develop two more wind farm projects in the Soc Trang province of Vietnam.
