Presidential adviser for entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion said in a July 9 forum that the first batch of the vaccines will be arriving on July 16.
“That’s sure and you have Moderna that are already arriving. So, the private sector has the weapon at hand,” Concepcion said.
The doses were initially scheduled to arrive in the first quarter of 2021, but supply issues led to several delays on the committed delivery date.
The delay prompted some businessmen to partner with the government to vaccinate their employees using vaccines donated to the country or bought using public funds.
