Rivals, customers throw support for Jollibee after Towel Joy incident

It seems that Jollibee is bouncing back from the negative publicity generated by a fried towel delivered to one of their customers in Taguig.

The incident shocked and caused a meme frenzy from Pinoys, who poked fun at the fiasco. It was even featured in 9Gag, a popular US-based web magazine that features a wide array of interesting topics.

However, after Jollibee issued its statement on the matter and closed down the Bonifacio Stop Over branch for three days to review its food preparation protocols, netizens suddenly started a wave of nostalgia and aired their support for Jollibee on social media.

Some called out the complainant for making her post so public that even international media outfits are covering Jollibee’s faux pas.

Some former employees also shared many happy memories working for the fastfood giant

Some netizens used the hashtag #BEEda to rally behind the nation’s favorite bee.


Even other establishments are sympathizing with Jollibee.
