Bilyonaryo Manny V. Pangilinan is shaking up the board of Metro Pacific Investments Corp. with three new members this year.
The MPIC chairman has endorsed Ateneo de Manila University president Roberto “Bobby” Yap, Phinma chairman Oscar Hilado and Roxas Holdings president and CEO Pedro Roxas as independent directors of MPIC. Former Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban was retained as lead independent director.
They replaced banker Edward S. Go, Far Eastern Universty president Lydia Balatbat-Echauz and MPIC corporate governance officer Jose Jesus G. Laurel.
Aside from Pangilinan and Panganiban, other returnees on MPC’s board are former Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario, Meralco president and CEO Ray C. Espinosa, Maynilad Water president and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez, Metro Pacific Tollways president and CEO
Rodrigo E. Franco, MPIC president and CEO Jose Ma. K. Lim, MPIC executive director and CFO June Cheryl A. Cabal-Revilla, Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings president Augusto P. Palisoc Jr., First Metro Investment chairman Francisco C. Sebastian, MPIC vice chairman and Federal Land chairman Alfred V. Ty, and PLDT board adviser Christopher H. Young.
