DFNN jumps 21% after E-Sabong deal as Raymond Garcia tells operators to get ready to combat illegal gaming

DFNN of techpreneur Raymond Garcia jumped 21 percent on news that one of its affiliates has been picked as a digital partner in online cockfight betting, or E-Sabong.

Local investors drove up DFNN which closed at P4.98 on P148.05 million volume, its highest daily turnover since January.

In a message of its outlet operators, KGI said: “We are confirming that we have signed with a Pagcor-licensed operator on a private sector basis that within Pagcor rules as co-licensees, we will be making the gaming content available.”

“For clarity, we are not the licensed E-Sabong operator and your (managers) will be updating you on our plans and support. We hope to help Pagcor increase its revenues and fight illegal gaming.”

The E-Sabong venture is expected to generate between P5 billion and P10 billion in bets from 24/7 online cockfights.
