ABS-CBN’s top rating news program “TV Patrol” and other teleseryes will soon be back on free television on a different channel, Zoe TV 11.
A Babbler told us that Jesus Is Lord founder Bro. Eddie Villanueva has agreed to a block time deal with the Lopezes to air one news program and several entertainment programs.
The Babbler said Villaueva rejected the Lopezes’ initial offer to buy Zoe’s franchise after ABS-CBN’s franchise lapsed in May and Congress rejected its renewal in July.
The Lopezes are hoping to claw back part of the advertising revenues they lost since getting off the air.
Zoe used to be controlled by El Shaddai Leader Brother Mike Velarde until Villanueva bought him out in 1998. Zoe has two channels – 11 and UHF Channel 33 or “Light TV.” -where Villanueva currently runs religious-themed programs.
Zoe used to have a block time agreement with GMA Network which ran from 2005 to 2019 where it aired its GMA News TV channel. GMA News TV is now airing on UHF Channel 27.
