Bilyonaryo Andrew Tan was given the ultimate surprise for his 68th birthday on Sunday (24 February 2020) as his loved ones, relatives, close friends and key managers came together for a night to remember.
Tan, who looked fresh as a daisy in a crisp white shirt underneath a sleek silver-grey, camo jacket, didn’t know what hit him when he walked into the Manila ballroom of Marriott Manila which was festooned in red and gold trimmings.
He was ushered in by his son, Kevin, who looked like a younger brother next to his dad. Tan’s wife, Katherine, prepared the surprise party.
Around 300 guests attended the event including top managers of Tan’s business empire – Megaworld, Travellers International (Resorts World), Emperador and Golden Arches (McDonald’s Philippines). Guests were entertained by special performances from each company as well as Tans children and apos.
A highlight of the event was Tan flexing his baritone voice as he crooned the audience in a duet BFF and McDonald’s partner, George Yang, with their version of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”
