DOF questions think tank's study that TRAIN worsened poverty in PH

The Department of Finance (DOF) is eyeing another form of tax, this time meant to protect the environment.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that the DOF was considering imposing carbon tax which could potentially generate P20 billion in additional revenues for the government.

Finance Undersecretary Karl Kendrick Chua said the move would usher the shift from “brown” to “green” economies.
